The launch of three booklets from the student publishing series 4×2 (vols. 2–4) will take the form of a shared ritual of reading, listening, and collective exchange, structured as a feast understood as a social medium — a situation in which the text is not presented to the audience, but enters space, bodies, and time.
Six original essays explore the body, language, and temporality beyond anthropocentric, normative, and linear frameworks. The body appears here as a more-than-human landscape; as a site of writing, labour, power, and resistance; as an object of controlled fall and expanded relationality. Language becomes a tool for negotiating between “us” and “them,” a dialogue as well as its failure, a structure of support and a site of blockage. Time fractures, repeats, traumatises, and reassembles itself into queer, existential, and everyday loops.
Texts by Zlata Ziborová, Nela Pietrová, Minh Thang Pham, Anna Poubová, Karolina Chasáková, and Eva Klečková connect critical reflection with imagination and test the essay as a form of thinking in motion — between text, voice, and situation.
The student publishing project 4×2 is directed and edited by Ondřej Buddeus. The booklets are published with the support of the NAVU Publication Grant – NAVU Publishing House.
