Dean Kenning – Exploratory Diagramming for Art, Theory and Learning / lecture
British artist Dean Kenning will be the guest speaker of Printmaking 1. The lecture in English will take place as part of the AVU International program. The lecture will be followed by a workshop for students.

Dean Kenning
is a British artist. He works as a researcher at Kingston School of Art in London, where he leads a practice-based doctoral program, and also teaches at Central Saint Martins. His artworks include kinetic, sonic, and robotic sculptures, videos, and diagrams. He employs DIY, allegorical, and autodidactic methods and modes of expression, exploring political and philosophical content. He is the winner of the 2020 Mark Tanner Sculpture Award. He has published articles in magazines such as Third Text, The Journal of Visual Art Practice, Art Monthly, and Mute, among others, on the theory and practice of diagrams and on the politics of art and art education. He is co-author of the book Drawing Analogies: Diagrams in Art, Theory, and Practice, published by Bloomsbury in 2025.
