Mgr. Radek Dětinský

Radek Dětinský has been a photographer at the Academy of Fine Arts since 2013, where he is mainly involved in documenting artefacts, exhibitions and events related to the school’s activities and participates in the digitisation of the school’s collections. He teaches the course Introduction to Practical Photography, occasionally also courses in analogue photography; he is in charge of the school’s photo room. He consults with students on both the technical and content aspects of their photographs on an ongoing basis. From 2023 to 2025, he served as curator of the exhibition space at Trigon Publishing House, which primarily presents artists from among the graduates and current students of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (AVU). He organizes residential events related to visual arts and personalities around AVU. He exhibits his own free work in both solo and group exhibitions. His book “308” (published by NAVU in 2026) reflects the world of AVU between 2013 and 2023.
