Do tla | David Čumalo, Dávid Čerťanský

The exhibition Do tla presents a combination of the painting approaches of David Čumal and Dávid Čerťanský in a close, almost physical dialogue. Both artists approach the painting with great intensity. In doing so, they employ layering, carving and penetrating beneath its surface. Their works intertwine both thematically and formally: one motif physically touches another. Here, painting becomes a space for both conflict and harmony, arising through repetition, pressure and a shared effort to push the very limits of what is possible in the medium.
