Guest Lectures with Noa Yafe
Lecture
A visual artist Noa Yafe, who lives and works in Tel Aviv, Israel, will give a public talk on her artistic practice, creative processes, and approaches to image, space, and the perception of reality. Her work explores the tension between reality and its representation, challenges the boundaries between different media. She creates situations in which illusion becomes a tool for questioning truth and our perception of the world. In the Perfect Crime she directly references French philosopher Jean Baudrillard’s concepts of simulation, hyperreality, and the "murder of reality"—questioning whether representation replaces actual truth.
