The state doctoral examination and the announcement of the results are public. The state doctoral examination lasts approximately 70 minutes and proceeds as follows:

  1. The chair introduces the doctoral candidate to the committee.
  2. The supervisor briefly introduces the doctoral project.
  3. The doctoral candidate presents the progress of their dissertation in a lecture lasting up to 30 minutes.
  4. Critical discussion.
  5. Closed evaluation by the committee.
  6. Announcement of the exam results.
  7. Recording of the exam results in the minutes.
