Maria Nalbantova, who works in Sofia, Bulgaria, creates sculptures and object installations that overlaps into multimedia creation when the topic requires a multi-layered presentation. Eliška Konečná’s works are characterized by their ambiguity, in which seemingly straightforward abstracted gestures, after prolonged observation, reveal unexpectedly deep layers of meaning. At the Sedimentation exhibition, the work of both authors meets in the theme of a long and gradual creative process, which results in the presentation of multi-layered art objects. In the case of Marie Nalbantová, it is the series of hand-made soap blocks created as part of the Drought (2021) project. Eliška Konečná exhibits several of her three-dimensional reliefs drawing on the theme of fluidity of the water element and human emotions.

Eliška Konečná (1992, Dobřichovice, Czech Republic) lives and works in Prague. Her current work is based on an effort to display the untouchable mental space and – seemingly paradoxically – interpret it into material world. (and vice versa) This effort is related to her long-term interest in communication and its boundaries. She works with various media, currently mainly with wood and textile. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in 2020 (Studio of painting), in 2018 she participated in an internship at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, Netherlands.
Maria Nalbantova (b.1990, Sofia, Bulgaria) works in the field of contemporary visual art. She experiments with various media and techniques such as drawing, collage, found objects, installation, video and performance. In 2015 she graduated with a master’s degree from the National Academy of Arts, Sofia, Department of Book and Printed Graphics. Nalbantova is a winner of BAZA Award for contemporary art in 2020.

Eliška Konečná (1992, Dobřichovice, ČR) žije a pracuje v Praze. Její současná práce je založena na snaze zobrazit nedotknutelný mentální prostor a zároveň jen – zdánlivě paradoxně – interpretovat do hmotného světa (a naopak). Toto úsilí souvisí s jejím dlouhodobým zájmem o komunikaci a její hranice. Pracuje s různými médii, v současnosti hlavně se dřevem a textilem.
V roce 2020 absolvovala na Akademii výtvarných umění v Praze (Ateliér malby), v roce 2018 byla na studijní stáži na Royal Academy of Art v Haagu, Holandsko.

Maria Nalbantova (1990, Sofie, Bulharsko) působí v oblasti současného vizuálního umění. Experimentuje s různými médii a technikami jako je kresba, koláž, nalezené objekty, instalace, video a performance. V roce 2015 absolvovala magisterský titul na Národní akademii umění v Sofii, oddělení knižní a tištěné grafiky. Nalbantova je vítězkou ceny BAZA za současné umění pro rok 2020.
