What is the call intended for?
The call is intended to support collaboration between studios in the form of short-term trips involving multiple studios outside AVU. Trips may take place within the Czech Republic or abroad within the EU. However, funding under the call is limited, so travel to distant destinations is not recommended.
Is it possible to travel abroad?
Yes, but only to EU countries. The funding is not intended to cover the cost of travel insurance, which students travelling abroad must pay for themselves. In the case of trips abroad, students must provide proof of travel insurance. Funding under the call is also limited, so travel to distant destinations is not recommended.
Who can apply for funding?
Only AVU students whose studies have not been suspended may apply, and they must remain enrolled as students throughout the entire duration of the project.
How large should the project team be?
The project team may consist of two or more people. A minimum of two studios must be involved in the project. The team must then always include at least one student from each participating studio. Furthermore, the application must identify a Main applicant who will be responsible for the project execution and communication with the call administrator, as well as a person responsible for safety and supervision during the field trip (this can be a student or a teacher at AVU; if the responsible person is a student, they must enter into an agreement on performance of work with AVU and undergo OSH training).
What are the assessment criteria?
The contribution to supporting and developing collaboration between studios; the feasibility of the proposal; the formal preparedness and clarity of the application; its conformity with the focus of the call; and the appropriateness and structure of the budget.
When can I carry out the planned trip or other activity?
The project, including submission of the final report, must be completed by the end of the academic year in which the application was submitted.
How and when should I submit an application?
You can submit your application via the online form above. Applications can be submitted from October 20 to November 20, 2026.
How and when should I submit the final report?
You can submit the final report via the online form above, no later than 30 days after the end of the project.
What is the maximum amount of funding?
The maximum amount of funding available under this call is CZK 40,000.
Where and when can I find the results of the selection process?
The results will be published on the Open Call website during December.
What can the funding be used to cover?
Accommodation costs, travel costs, meal costs, service costs, non-capital material costs, personnel costs associated with the organisation and implementation of the project.
