The twenty-eighth issue of the peer-reviewed journal “Journal of Art, Theory and Related Zones” offers a relatively narrower range of focus for individual studies and book reviews than is usual for non-thematic issues.

Introduced by a review of Networking the Bloc (2019) by Klara Kemp-Welch, Jan Wollner focuses on the British scholar’s approach to experimental art of the 1960s-1980s. In another study, Johana Lom writes about the more serious side of the ‘golden sixties’ by examining how censorship worked in contemporary art magazines. Critical thinking about the role of architecture is the subject of three further studies. Michaela Janečková writes about the concept of energyism as understood by Karel Janů. Karolina Jirkalová analyses the impact and implications of the so-called Resolution No. 333/1982 on construction. Klára Peloušková writes about the current limits and possibilities of architecture and design. The issue concludes with a review of the anthology Euro-American Architectural Thought (2018) by the Slovak architectural theorist Marian Zervan.
