A collective study group on the book Spheres of Insurrection: Decolonizing the Unconscious by Suely Rolnik, first published in 2019 and translated last year. This will be a closed working group for a max of 10 participants. We will use group work as well as therapeutic strategies in combination with collective reading. The workshop and the text will be in English without interpretation to Czech. All welcome. No prior reading necessary. !! Nikhil Vettukattil

Nikhil Vettukattil (b. 1990, Bengaluru, India) is an artist living and working in Oslo. Using a range of media such as sound, installation, performance, text, sculpture, and video, his practice questions modes of representation and image-making processes in their relation to lived experiences. He has previously exhibited at venues such as FELIX GAUDLITZ, Vienna (2023), Kunsthall Oslo (2022), Nasjonalmuseet, Oslo (2022), K-U-K, Trondheim (2021), CAPC, Bordeaux (2021), Art Hub Copenhagen (2021), Louise Dany, Oslo (2020), EKA Gallery, Tallinn (2020), Kristiansand Kunsthall (2020), and Le Bourgeois, London (2019). He is a member of the art collectives Tenthaus and Carrie, as well as a part of Atelier Kunstnerforbundet and the Institute for Scene Experiments.As an artist and member of Artyčok's partner institution, Tenthaus, Nikhil played a pivotal role in shaping the dramaturgy of the Practise of Decolonization chapter within the Regeneration project. His crucial guidance influenced Jiří Žák and Matěj Pavlík both in Oslo and the local art scene. Nikhil's expertise also aided in selecting respondents for the eponymous audio series focusing on topics such as: the emancipatory strategies of Sámi community, the discourse of decolonization in Norway or the normalization of racism within Norwegian society.
