Maria Nalbantova, who works in Sofia, Bulgaria, creates sculptures and object installations that overlaps into multimedia creation when the topic requires a multi-layered presentation. Eliška Konečná's works are characterized by their ambiguity, in which seemingly straightforward abstracted gestures, after prolonged observation, reveal unexpectedly deep layers of meaning. At the Sedimentation exhibition, the work of both authors meets in the theme of a long and gradual creative process, which results in the presentation of multi-layered art objects. In the case of Marie Nalbantová, it is the series of hand-made soap blocks created as part of the Drought (2021) project. Eliška Konečná exhibits several of her three-dimensional reliefs drawing on the theme of fluidity of the water element and human emotions.
