Artistic Research

Artistic research is considered to be research based on specific artistic practice: it involves the activities of artists who explore a particular question or theme using artistic means. At the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, we focus on artistic research within the framework of artistic doctoral studies and the PhD Laboratory (PhD Lab). Additionally, we support artistic research emerging from the collaboration between teachers and students in various collective projects.
