MgA. Petr Dub, Ph.D.

Petr Dub (*1976) completed his doctoral studies at the FaVU BUT in Brno in 2012 with a publication entitled Selected Post-Conceptual Approaches in Contemporary Czech Painting. In his own artistic work, he mainly explores the capacity of contemporary painting, object, installation and their mutual overlaps in architecture and public space. The author's diploma work entitled UNFRAMED was selected for the European Start Point exhibition and the TRANSFORMERS series among the finalists of The Sovereign European Art Prize organised by the Royal Foundation in London under the auspices of Christie's auction house. The artist has been nominated for the Essl Art Award Cee and included in the Start Up series organised by the Prague City Gallery. He is a co-founder of the photographic platform Studio Flusser and since 2018 he has been running the studio Painting IV at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague together with Mark Meduna.Head of the Painting IV studio host of the podcast PO AVUwww.petrdub.cz
