Board of Trustees

Members of Trustees are appointed by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic after consultation with the Rector of AVU. Under Sections 14 and 15 of the Higher Education Act, the AVU Board of Trustees gives its prior written consent to legal proceedings by which the Academy plans to acquire or transfer the rights of ownership to property or the property itself, to establish an easement or other such right or pre-emptive right, and to dealings in which the Academy plans to establish, annul or transform another legal entity and to deposits with monetary or non-monetary resources to these and other legal entities. After approval by the Academic Senate, the Board of Trustees discusses the internal quality assurance report, approves the budget, the strategic (long-term) plan and its annual implementation plan, examines the annual report and the annual financial report, and expresses an opinion regarding other matters brought to its attention by the rector.
