The Vice-Rectorate for Internationalization and Research develops international cooperation, research activities, and research education at the Academy. It is responsible for the strategic management of internationalization (including establishing and maintaining partnerships with foreign institutions), coordinating research activities at the school, ensuring the quality of doctoral studies, and representing the Academy internationally in academic and artistic networks and organizations. The Vice-Rector’s Office is also closely involved in the public and exhibition activities of Galerie AVU and Artyčok, which present and generate the outputs of artistic and research activities and also serve as platforms for international exchange, cooperation, and reflection.

The Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Research is responsible for the International Cooperation Department, the Research Support Department, the Art History Academic Research Centre (VVP AVU), the Artistic Research Department LARGE, the Department of Doctoral Research, Research Groups, and the AVU Publishing House (NAVU).

Mgr.art. Anetta Mona Chişa, Ph.D., is a visual artist who works with a variety of media, from sculpture and site-specific installations to video and performance, often using language as part of her practice. Her work and collaborative projects have been exhibited in many institutions around the world, including Art in General in New York, n.b.k. in Berlin, Rudolfinum Gallery in Prague, MG+MSUM in Ljubljana, MNAC in Bucharest, MoCA Miami, MuMoK Vienna, The Power Plant in Toronto, the Taipei Biennial, Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt, the Moscow Biennale, Venice Biennale, and many others.

Anetta Mona Chişa received her MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, and her PhD from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague.
