The Vice-Rectorate for Quality and Development ensures the quality of educational activities in the field of fine arts and manages the academy’s development activities. It is responsible for evaluating the internal environment, supervising accreditation processes, overseeing communication and public relations, and participating in the conceptual planning of the institution’s long-term vision. Its role extends across the entire school and is based on close cooperation with the academic community and individual departments to ensure that development and quality objectives correspond to the needs and nature of art education.

The Vice-Rectorate is responsible for overseeing development projects funded by operational programs co-financed by the European Union, as well as by similar grant schemes and programs that support the development of higher education institutions. It also provides strategic oversight for internal grant schemes aimed at supporting creative, research, and artistic-pedagogical activities.

The Vice-Rector for Quality and Development is responsible for the Department of Evaluation and Quality, the Communications Department, the Project Support Department, the Grant Department, and the Dislocation Strategy Office.

David Fesl is a visual artist and head lecturer of the Sculpture Studio 1. He has previously had solo exhibitions at Tomio Koyama in Tokyo (2023), Lulu in Mexico City (2021), Georg Kargl in Vienna (2020), and Karlin Studios in Prague (2020). He has participated in a tandem exhibition at the Center for Contemporary Art Prague (2024, with Esther Kläs) and group projects at Lombardi-Kargl in Vienna (2022, 2024), the Brno House of Arts (2021–2022) and the National Gallery Prague (2016–2017). He contributed to the conceptual and spatial design of Lenka Vítková’s survey exhibition at Fait Gallery (2022) and the annual Contact Collection event at the Secession Pavilion (2024). He has repeatedly collaborated with the initiative Woods – Community for Cultivation, Theory and Art in the creation of art symposia.
