The Grant Department provides resources and support to members of the academic community in the preparation and implementation of grants and projects. Here you will find information on internal grant competitions, an overview of projects funded by the National Programme for Science and Research (NPO) and other programmes, a regular newsletter, and guidance documents required for the development and management of projects at AVU.
The department focuses on coordinating the preparation and implementation of projects by individual researchers, research teams and individual departments at the Academy of Fine Arts that are geared towards science, research and artistic creation. It offers advice, consultations and guidance on grant calls, the preparation of applications and the implementation of projects. It monitors the progress of these projects, ensures their administrative and financial oversight, and contributes to the preparation of interim and final reports. Unlike the Project Support Department, which focuses on university-wide projects designed to cut across various areas of activity and funded predominantly from EU sources, the Grants Department provides support to individual researchers and research teams.
The Department
identifies suitable grant opportunities, prepares and distributes grant monitoring reports
coordinates and organises annual internal grant competitions
contributes to the development of the school’s grant strategy
The Creative Grant Competition supports the creation and public presentation of works of art.
The Research Grant Competition is designed to support university research carried out by students, particularly PhD students.
We are now launching open calls to support inter-studio activities, which focus on trips outside the AVU organised by students; student initiatives promoting student association activities; and skills sharing and development, i.e. support for peer-to-peer activities amongst students.
A separate competition to support the publication of books is announced each year by the AVU Publishing House.
